The Komet 60 is a boutique 60-watt EL34 head built on a circuit designed by Ken Fischer of Trainwreck fame. The preamp is short and direct: a 12AX7 input stage feeds a treble, middle and bass stack straight away, then a single Volume into a second stage whose Fast/Gradual switch changes how quickly the amp breaks up, and a third stage drives the power amp. The result is touch-sensitive, harmonically rich overdrive.
