The Laney PB400 is a mid-1980s solid-state bass head rated at 400 watts. Its op-amp preamp has Gain, a switchable Pre-Shape contour, a two-control parametric mid (frequency and gain), an 11-band graphic EQ and a master volume, each EQ section footswitchable. It also builds in a compressor/limiter, a noise gate, pre- and post-EQ effects loops, a balanced DI output, headphone out and a clip indicator, ahead of a transistor power stage.
