Magnatone 280-B - Channel 1 preset
Verified · 86/100 confidence. Complete schematic. All component values readable. Parameters derived directly from the circuit.
The 280-B revision of Magnatone's late-1950s flagship stereo-vibrato amp, the 280. Two channels, each with A and B inputs and their own treble, bass and volume, feed the varistor pitch-shifting vibrato, with a 12AX7 oscillator (Speed, Intensity, footswitch) and a 12BH7 Stereo/Normal stage. Inverters from 6CG7 and 12AX7 halves run two push-pull pairs of 6CZ5s (or 6973s) into two output transformers, on a 5U4GB.
- Made in: USA
- Channels: 2
- Preamp tubes: 3× 12AX7, 3× 6CG7, 1× 12BH7
