The 2554 is the 1×12 combo version of the 50-watt Silver Jubilee, sharing the 2550 head's preamp. Marshall's Silver Jubilee series marked the company's 25th anniversary (and Jim Marshall's 50 years in music) with silver-vinyl cosmetics and a new two-channel circuit derived from the JCM800. A pull-out Rhythm Clip switch adds diode clipping to the rhythm channel and a pull-boost adds gain on the lead channel, giving a hotter, smoother overdrive than the JCM800 2204.
