Marshall 50W 2204S preset
Verified · 80/100 confidence. Complete schematic. All component values readable. Parameters derived directly from the circuit.
The JCM800 2204S is the studio or special version of Marshall's revered 50-watt master volume single-channel head, essentially the 2204 platform with refinements for lower noise and cleaner signal path. The 2204 circuit itself is one of the most influential amplifier designs in rock history — its single-input master volume configuration was derived from modifications players and technicians had been applying to the JMP Super Lead for years. Two EL34s running at proper operating points deliver a tight, cutting tone that cleans up beautifully when the guitar's volume is rolled back.
