The Marshall JMP 1930 is a 10-watt practice combo from the early JMP era, one of the smallest amplifiers in Marshall's original lineup and designed for home practice and teaching. Using EL84 output tubes rather than the EL34s found in larger Marshall models, the 1930 produces a distinctly different character — lighter, more chiming, with a musical breakup that occurs at very low volume levels. While not as well-known as Marshall's large-stage models, these small JMP combos have developed a cult following among players who appreciate their compact size and easy-to-achieve natural saturation.
