Marshall Major Bass 1978 - Normal preset

Verified · 90/100 confidence. Complete schematic. All component values readable. Parameters derived directly from the circuit.

The 1978 is the bass version of the 200-watt Marshall Major, shown here in its 1970 US form. Four inputs feed two ECC83 channels with their own volumes, mixed into a gain stage that drives the Treble, Middle and Bass stack straight from the plate, followed by a second gain stage. An ECC82 phase inverter with Presence drives four KT88s off a large silicon bridge supply into 4, 8 or 16 ohms, for huge, clean low-end headroom.
