Marshall Plexi Superlead Reissue 50W 1987X preset
Verified · 80/100 confidence. Complete schematic. All component values readable. Parameters derived directly from the circuit.
The Marshall 1987X is a faithful reissue of the legendary 1987 Super Lead 50W plexi, produced from the 1990s onward to satisfy demand for original-specification vintage Marshall tone without the cost and scarcity of genuine late-1960s examples. Built to the original schematic with a hand-wired turret board, no master volume, and the classic four-input two-channel layout, it captures the authentic plexi character including the characteristic bias and transformer specs that define the sound. The 1987X remains in production and is the benchmark against which vintage Super Lead reissues are measured.
