The McIntosh MC-30 is a 30-watt mono valve power amplifier from the mid-1950s, sold as a mono block to pair with a separate preamp. A Gain control feeds a 12AX7 input stage, a 12AU7 voltage amp and phase inverter, a 12BH7 push-pull driver and a 12AX7 cathode-follower driver. Two fixed-bias 1614 beam tetrodes (6L6 family) drive a McIntosh Unity Coupled output transformer with 4/8/16-ohm and 600-ohm taps, from a 5U4GA rectifier.
