The AD30 is a 30-watt, single-channel all-valve Orange amp launched in 1998, the first of the AD series. An ECC83 gives two gain stages with a Gain control, then a treble, middle and bass stack, an ECC83 long-tail-pair inverter and a Master. Four cathode-biased EL84s run from a GZ34 valve rectifier for an open, chiming class-A response; the 2x12 combo adds a third ECC83 for spring reverb. A twin-channel version followed in 2001.
