The Pearce BC-1 is a solid-state, two-channel rack bass preamp from 1988, built entirely from op-amp gain and EQ stages and prized for clarity and punch in studio and live bass rigs. Each channel has its own Drive with a Boost switch, a sweepable Frequency and Midrange control, Treble, Bass and Volume, and its own effects loop, with footswitch channel selection. A built-in limiter with threshold control and a transformer-balanced 600-ohm output complete it.
