The 500BH is a Peavey 2x10 powered bass enclosure from the early 1980s: a slave cabinet with its own solid-state amplifier, meant to extend a bass rig. Two input jacks feed a single Level control and a TL074 op-amp input stage with built-in compression sensing to guard against clipping. A discrete driver feeds two output boards of four power transistors each on +/-52 V rails, driving two 8-ohm 10-inch speakers. There are no tone controls.
