The Premier Model 88 is a 1959 tube amplifier from Premier, the New York brand of the Sorkin/Multivox company, built in two chassis: a top-panel preamp and a lower power chassis. In the lower chassis a 12AU7 gain stage feeds a 12AU7 phase inverter driving two 6L6s in push-pull with feedback, on a 5U4 rectifier. A tremolo footswitch socket connects to the top panel, and a frequency-dividing network splits the output between low and high speakers on three-speaker models.
