The Rick-Tone Type 11 "Heartbreaker" is a hand-built guitar amp from Rick-Tone, made from the 1980s on and often tailored to each owner. A 12AX7 (or 7025) gain stage feeds a passive bass and treble tone module, a volume and a gain control, then a second 12AX7 whose second half works as a paraphase inverter. Two cathode-biased 6L6GCs (or 6CA7s) make about 28 watts into the output transformer, with a solid-state rectifier and no negative feedback.
