The Rick-Tone Type 8 is a single-ended tube guitar amp from Rick-Tone, hand-built from the 1980s on in several versions. One input feeds both halves of a 12AX7 in cascade, with 500K Volume and Tone controls and a center-off Personality switch that sets the feedback from the speaker. A single cathode-biased output valve, typically a 6V6GT but sometimes a 6L6GC or EL34/6CA7, drives the output transformer from a 5U4GB or 5Y3GT rectifier.
