Rick-Tone Type 20 Heartbreaker Jr. preset
verified · 92/100 confidence. Complete schematic. All component values readable. Parameters derived directly from the circuit.
The Rick-Tone Type 20 "Heartbreaker Jr." is a smaller sibling of the Type 11 Heartbreaker, hand-built from the 1980s on. Two inputs feed a cascaded 12AX7 with a passive bass and treble tone module and a 500K Volume, then an internal 1M gain trimpot set to the owner’s style. A second 12AX7 adds gain and works as a paraphase inverter for two cathode-biased 6AQ5s into a 4K-to-8-ohm output transformer, with a silicon bridge rectifier and no feedback.

Schematic-derived preset files for the Neural DSP Quad Cortex and 16 Fractal and Line 6 modelers: Axe-Fx II/XL/XL+, Axe-Fx III, FM3, FM9, and the full Helix family (Floor, LT, Rack, HX Stomp, HX Stomp XL, Native).
Gridleak extracts amp parameters from original circuit schematics using AI vision — component values, gain staging, tone stack topology, tube types — then generates native preset files for every supported modeler. Every extraction is scored 0–100 and the score is published.
