The Rickenbacker Model 59 is an early, very simple tube amp with a field-coil speaker. A single input goes straight to one triode of a 6N7 dual triode; the other triode works as a paraphase inverter fed from a divider on the opposite grid, driving a push-pull pair of 6V6GTs with a shared 225 ohm cathode resistor. A 5Z4 rectifier feeds the supply through a choke and the speaker’s 9K field coil. No volume or tone control is drawn.
