Schneider Choral preset

The Choral is a small valve amplifier from the French maker Schneider, documented in 1960 for microphone or record-player pickup use, not as a guitar amp. In microphone mode the ECF82 triode adds a preamp stage before its pentode half; in pickup mode the signal goes straight to the pentode. A single EL84 drives a 16×24 cm elliptical speaker for 4.5 W, with an EZ80 rectifier and bass and treble controls that work through the feedback network.

Schematic-derived preset files for the Neural DSP Quad Cortex and 16 Fractal and Line 6 modelers: Axe-Fx II/XL/XL+, Axe-Fx III, FM3, FM9, and the full Helix family (Floor, LT, Rack, HX Stomp, HX Stomp XL, Native).

Gridleak extracts amp parameters from original circuit schematics using AI vision — component values, gain staging, tone stack topology, tube types — then generates native preset files for every supported modeler. Every extraction is scored 0–100 and the score is published.
