The Selmer All Purpose 30 is a single-channel British valve amp. Two inputs feed an ECC82 first stage (an ECC83 on some factory versions), then a Lead/Bass switch that changes the coupling, a Tone and a Volume control, and a second ECC82 triode. A second ECC82 forms a long-tail phase inverter driving a fixed-bias pair of EL506 output valves at about 440 V from a silicon-diode rectifier, into an 8 ohm speaker, for roughly 30 watts.
