The Silvertone 1448 amp (chassis 185.10010) is the small amplifier and speaker built into the case of Sears' 1448 guitar outfit, sold as a complete Danelectro-made guitar-and-amp package. It is an AC/DC circuit with no power transformer: one input and Volume into a 12AU6 pentode, a single-ended 50C5 output valve into a 3.2-ohm speaker, and a 35W4 rectifier. Its raw, small-speaker sound has since found fans among lo-fi and garage players.
