The Silvertone 1484 Twin Twelve is a Danelectro-built piggyback: a tube head (chassis 185.11040) on a 2×12 cabinet. Two identical channels each have volume, bass and treble, with tube-driven spring reverb (6CG7 driver and recovery) and a depth control, and a 12AX7 tremolo with speed and strength on a dual footswitch; there is no bright switch. Two 6L6GCs at about 475 V on a solid-state rectifier with a choke give roughly 50 W RMS (Sears advertised 60 W). Its raw, gritty overdrive has made it popular with garage and blues players.
