The Soldano Avenger is a single-input 100-watt head built around a hot-rodded Soldano gain path. The input 12AX7 stage feeds an OD Volume, then two further cascaded 12AX7 stages whose gain and voicing are changed by light-dependent opto-isolators switched from a footswitch, and a cathode follower that drives the power amp. The supply runs about 500 V on the plates from a silicon bridge with standby and an adjustable fixed-bias supply. The available drawing covers the preamp and supply only.
