The Sound City SMF Tour Series is an all-valve head with a footswitchable Clean and Dirty channel. A Bass/Middle/Treble stack sits ahead of the Clean Volume; the Dirty path adds cascaded ECC83 gain with a Dirty Intensity control and its own Dirty Volume. Presence and Master Volume follow, with a pre-amp out/power-amp in loop and a 600-ohm balanced line output. An ECC83 phase splitter drives six fixed-bias EL34s with negative feedback, from a silicon-bridge supply with standby; outputs include a 100 V line tap.
