Sovtek Mig50 preset
Close · 65/100 confidence. Most values readable. Minor gaps filled by inference from similar circuits.
The Sovtek MIG-50 was the 50-watt companion to the MIG-100H, offering the same Russian tube amp character in a slightly more manageable package that entered natural saturation at lower stage volumes. Its power section used a pair of Soviet 5881 tubes — the Russian equivalent of the 6L6 — delivering a thick, punchy breakup character that was simultaneously reminiscent of vintage American amps and distinctly its own. The MIG-50 was embraced by the alternative and grunge community as an affordable route to genuine tube saturation with a unique, somewhat unpredictable character. Its relatively simple circuit and Soviet-spec components gave each unit a slightly individual personality.
