The Sovtek MIG-50H Midget was a reduced-format version of the MIG-50, designed to deliver the MIG family's characteristic Russian tube tone in a more compact head enclosure suitable for players who prioritized portability. Despite the smaller chassis, the power section and circuit remained essentially identical to the standard MIG-50, preserving the raw, honest tube character that made the range popular. The Midget designation referred to the enclosure size rather than any reduction in actual output. It was a practical solution for touring players who wanted Sovtek's tone without the full size and weight of the standard MIG heads.
