The Splawn Quick Rod is a high-gain tube head from Splawn Amplification of North Carolina, built around a hot-rodded, Marshall-inspired preamp. Its preamp has two switchable channels: a clean channel with its own Clean Gain, Treble, Bass and Volume, and an overdrive channel with Gain, three 'gear' switches (OD1/OD2, 1st/2nd, 3rd) that change cascaded 12AX7 gain and voicing, a Treble/Bass/Mid stack, Master, and a footswitchable Solo Boost level. It is popular with hard rock and metal players.
