Supro Steel Guitar Amp (1946) preset
Verified · 88/100 confidence. Complete schematic. All component values readable. Parameters derived directly from the circuit.
A 1946 Supro steel guitar amp, about as simple as a valve amp gets. Two inputs feed the triode section of a 6SQ7, followed by a 500K volume control and nothing else: no tone control and no negative feedback. A single 6V6GT runs single-ended and cathode-biased in class A into a 1×8 speaker, with a 5Y3GT rectifier and a two-capacitor RC filter. A clean, compressed lap-steel voice that breaks up early when pushed.
