Tonemaster 1953 Combo preset
Verified · 86/100 confidence. Complete schematic. All component values readable. Parameters derived directly from the circuit.
The 1953 Tonemaster is a small single-ended combo of the early-1950s mail-order kind. Two inputs mix into a 6SJ7 pentode preamp, whose output passes straight to the volume control (with the power switch on its back); there is no tone control and no negative feedback. A single cathode-biased 6V6 runs class A into a 4-ohm 7×10-inch oval speaker, fed from a 5Y3 rectifier at just under 300 V.
