The Top Hat Ambassador is a boutique combo. A 12AX7 input stage feeds a treble/bass/mid stack and volume, then two more 12AX7 stages and a master volume. A full 12AX7 with both halves paralleled drives the spring reverb, with dwell, mix and a footswitch. A 12AX7 long-tail inverter with a Cut control drives four cathode-biased 6V6s with no negative feedback, on a solid-state rectifier, with 4/8/16-ohm taps and a level-adjustable line out.
