The YBA-2B Bass Mate is a compact Traynor all-valve bass amp. Two inputs feed a 12AX7A gain stage, then passive bass and treble controls and a volume, and a second 12AX7A acting as phase inverter. Two 6V6GTs share a 250-ohm cathode resistor (cathode bias) with negative feedback from the 8-ohm output, on a silicon full-wave rectifier at about 400 V. The B version adds an extension-speaker jack; earlier YBA-2A Bass Mates used a pair of 6BQ5s.
