The YBA-3 Custom Special is Traynor's high-power all-valve head of the late 1960s and early 1970s. Two inputs feed a single 12AX7 channel with volume, a treble boost switch and Treble Expander, then bass and treble with a bass boost switch and Bass Expander, and a master volume. A 12AX7 long-tail inverter with presence drives four fixed-bias 6CA7s at about 540 V. Built for bass and PA, it also suits guitarists after huge clean headroom.
