The YBA-1 Bass Master is the head that established Traynor in 1964, a Pete Traynor design. Two channels, each with two inputs, a 12AX7A stage and its own volume, mix into a second 12AX7A and a shared treble/bass stack with a Low Range Expander, while a High Range Expander sits in the negative-feedback loop. A 12AX7A long-tail inverter drives a pair of 7027As from a silicon supply with a choke. Built for bass, it has long been a guitarists' favourite too.
