The Ruby is a single-channel Two-Rock valve amp. A 12AX7 input stage feeds a treble/bass/middle tone stack and a volume with a switchable bright cap, then two more 12AX7 gain stages. A switchable valve-buffered effects loop and a pre-phase-inverter master volume can be bypassed. A 12AX7 long-tail inverter with negative feedback drives a fixed-bias pair of EL34s (6V6s are an option) from a silicon supply, into 8- and 16-ohm outputs.
