Smoky is a tiny single-ended DIY valve amp built from miniature pentodes. One input feeds a 5654/6AK5 pentode stage with a Gain control in its cathode, then a tone control with a switch and a volume. A single cathode-biased 6005/6AQ5 drives a 5K:4-ohm output transformer with no negative feedback. A two-diode full-wave supply with a 14 H choke delivers about 320 V, and a hum-balance pot sits on the heater winding.
