The VM-160 is a 1952 Voice of Music valve amplifier with mic and phono inputs only; it is a PA/phono amp, not a guitar amp. A 12AY7 gives one triode to the high-impedance mic input and one to the phono input, each with its own 500k volume, mixing into a Tone control and a 12AX7 gain stage and phase inverter. A push-pull pair of 6V6s drives the speaker plugs, with a 5Y3 rectifier.
