Vox AC30 preset
Verified · 82/100 confidence. Complete schematic. All component values readable. Parameters derived directly from the circuit.
The AC30 is Vox's four-EL84 Class A combo, first built in 1958/59 when the Shadows needed more power than the AC15 offered. With no negative feedback, a Cut control and, from the early 1960s, the Top Boost circuit, it produces the chime, compression and bloom heard on countless British records. This page covers several variants that share the Normal, Top Boost and Vib/Trem layout.
