The Vox AC Bass amplifier is a bass-guitar-specific derivative of the AC series platform, designed to handle the extended low-frequency content of bass guitar while retaining a tube-driven signal path. The circuit is optimised with increased bass headroom and a modified tone stack compared to the guitar AC series. It was aimed at the same market as the Fender Bassman in the mid-1960s UK bass market.
