The VBM1 Brian May Special is a small solid-state Vox recording and practice amp made with Brian May. The input first passes a single-transistor treble booster with its own Booster output jack and switch, then a Drive control, transistor gain stages with diode clipping and a High/Low Gain switch, and op-amp stages. One Tone control, a filtered recording/headphone out and a Volume feed an LM1875 power IC into an 8-ohm speaker.
