The Virtuoso is a 1967 JMI Vox solid-state amp; this drawing is its 15-watt power stage. A 2N3054 driver transistor feeds a driver transformer and two 2N3055 output transistors in a transformer-coupled push-pull stage, with bias presets in each leg, on a split low-voltage supply from a multi-tap mains transformer. A Standby switch and a separate preamp board, made with or without reverb, complete the amplifier.
