WEM BR30 Head preset

verified · 82/100 confidence. Complete schematic. All component values readable. Parameters derived directly from the circuit.

The BR30 is a 1966 WEM (Watkins Electric Music) valve head made of a separate preamp and Power 30 power-amp chassis. Two inputs feed a single ECC83 stage, then a Treble control with a switch-selected capacitor and a 9H inductor in its network, and a Volume. The Power 30 uses an ECC83 long-tailed-pair inverter driving four cathode-biased EL84s in parallel push-pull with negative feedback, into a 6-ohm output from a solid-state rectifier.

Schematic-derived preset files for the Neural DSP Quad Cortex and 16 Fractal and Line 6 modelers: Axe-Fx II/XL/XL+, Axe-Fx III, FM3, FM9, and the full Helix family (Floor, LT, Rack, HX Stomp, HX Stomp XL, Native).

Gridleak extracts amp parameters from original circuit schematics using AI vision — component values, gain staging, tone stack topology, tube types — then generates native preset files for every supported modeler. Every extraction is scored 0–100 and the score is published.
