Matchless Spitfire preset
Verified · 86/100 confidence. Complete schematic. All component values readable. Parameters derived directly from the circuit.
The Spitfire is a 15-watt single-channel Matchless combo with two EL84s in cathode-biased class A and no negative feedback. Two inputs feed a single 12AX7 gain stage, then a bright-capped Volume and one Tone control, so the amp breaks up early at moderate volume. A 12AX7 long-tail phase inverter with a Master control after it drives the EL84s, with a 5AR4 valve rectifier, choke filtering, 4/8-ohm outputs and a line out.
